RBTA just split
My bubble tip anemone just split! I've had it in my tank for about 2 weeks, and I've been feeding it every other day....woot woot, now I don't need to buy another one for my ocellaris clowns.....lol
Now just to wait until they both heal and are ready for food again, then to move one over to the other side of the tank. I'll get some pics later, gotta run my dog to the vet for a progesterone test.

Re: RBTA just split
ok, here's a couple pics....it's hard to get a good one right now as both anemone's are hiding.

They're almost the same picture, but that's about all I could get.

Re: RBTA just split
Here's a couple pics of the anemone before the split.

for an idea of size, the gold stripe maroon is about 2" long, and the white stripe is between 3"-4" long.

Re: RBTA just split
Here's a pic before the split that I really like. I have it set as my desktop backgound right now and it looks sweet!

Re: RBTA just split
lol, maybe once they split a few more times......
I can't believe the size of the 2 anemone's! They both look about the size of the single anemone before the split! I still feed them shrimp every other day. I was hoping that by splitting the 2 anemone's up(one at one end and one at the other end of the tank), the ocellaris clowns would have an anemone to host in, but this is not the case. The maroons are now hosting in BOTH anemone's, and they take turns at each one....sometimes they'll both be in 1 anemone, but most times they'll switch it up going from one to the other rotating. So I'm hoping that one of the anemone's will split again, so that I can put one in the middle of the tank, so the 2 maroons will probably pick 2 that are close to eachother, and leave one end of the tank for the ocellaris clowns. Keeping my fingers crossed
