cablemike 55 gallon

Post by cablemike on Fri May 01, 2009 12:36 am

This was my 55 gallon which has recently been upgraded to a 90.. ive included pics of that tank also but they are few weeks old (1 weeks after upgrade) as its going through a diatom bloom so im waiting for that to clear up for better pics.

My 90 is much more organized.. here are early pics before the corals opened to their full glory. Ive also added about 10 new corals since these pics was taken. I will post updated pics soon.

thanks guys, the diatom bloom has almost cleared and i will post new pics soon. This tank has become my obsession and I am finally happy with it.. My sps corals are showing incredible growth to the point where I can see new growth daily. And considering how simple my equipment is im very proud of the results. I started this tank on the berlin principle and it has worked out great proving you dont need a sump to have a sucessfull tank. I personally believe that the secret to my tanks success is that I run a large amount of carbon allowing me to mix all different types of corals without them being able to poison each other for space.

I have to agree with Shannon, not only do you have an amazing reef but you're an awsome photographer too.
