Hello all, I just had someone, Ricky, ask me about LED light fixtures. I have a 75 Gal tank with this light from Catilina Aquarium, a US based company, they make custom lighting and I Beta tested this light for them... Excellent BTW.. originally I had PC's over the tank, that came with it.. yuck.. here are some comparisons for you

I have a few questions about the flow in my tank. I have a 28g tank that I want to buy powerheads for. I want to keep corals(zoanthids, mushrooms, colts, toadstools... all the noob corals) but dont know how much flow I should have. I dont want too much because the fish will have a hard time resting at night but I want the corals to get enough food and nutrition from the water that flows by.
Any help on how much flow I should have would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone. Nice little community you have set up here.

I have a 20g biocube and since my husband has left the province for collage I have been looking after it. It has all the original filter stuff going on. The bio cubes, the piece of foam beside the pump. I removed the cartridge a while ago because it needed replaceing and i never got a new one. I'm not one to put anything more than what is necessary, and I hate to buy things that i can substitute with something something i can make ...

I bought some lights on boxing day, in the sweet deals, and am just wanting to see what kinds of corals I would be able to keep with them.

So it's a Coralife Aqua Lunar Light, 1 65w 10,000k daylight, and 1 65w true actinic 03, and 2 night lights. It's on a 28g tank so I have 4.64 watts per gallon.

Im really just wondering where I should draw my limits with types of corals for my tank. Online, corals have different lighting requirements(low, moderate, or high), I assume 4 watts per ...

Over christmas break I was planning on getting a aquaclear(dont know what size) and turn it into a mini hang on back refugium. I have a few questions, as the articles i read didnt answer them, and if they did, they used crazy reef specialist words.

What do I need in a Refugium?? I hear a lot of people use sand, but would be worried about the filter shooting the sand into the tank. Do i use live sand? As i see a lot of people use live rock in their fuge.

Also, i have heard about using ...

Designed as an in sump skimmer.

Features the Sedra pump utilizing needle wheel technology

A number of models available starting with the Mini or Baby(~$130) rated for a 75g tank up to the G6 (~$700) rated for a 1200g tank.

I use the G2 on my 90g mixed reef tank.

Specs: sedra 3500 pump, footprint 10X11, body diameter 6.5", Height 21.25", rated for 200g. A more realistic rating would be for 100g moderatly stocked tank. Works well for my needs at a reasonable price (~$240).
