New Lights

I bought some lights on boxing day, in the sweet deals, and am just wanting to see what kinds of corals I would be able to keep with them.

So it's a Coralife Aqua Lunar Light, 1 65w 10,000k daylight, and 1 65w true actinic 03, and 2 night lights. It's on a 28g tank so I have 4.64 watts per gallon.

Im really just wondering where I should draw my limits with types of corals for my tank. Online, corals have different lighting requirements(low, moderate, or high), I assume 4 watts per gallon is around moderate but would I be able to keep high light required corals if I placed them higher on live rock and closer to the light, or will it not really make a differemce??

Congrats on getting your lights!

Those lights will be fine for the softies and LPS at any level of a standard 28g tank. SPS, anemones, clams...probably ok especially if located higher in the tank. If you have any doubt about a particular corals compatibility with PC lighting I would recommend pm-ing Stashfrag with your question. He is the coral master and one solid dude If he gives you an answer you can take that information to the bank.\

Now stop wasting your time with those nasty cichlids and get that Reef system running

lol, the cichlids are in the 75g, and staying there cuz im making a little money off those horn dogs(rusties breeding like crazy, perlmutts just starting and acei are getting a little frisky). My firend is taking most of the fish currently in the 28 and the rest are going to the LFS sometime over the next 2 weeks.

I am freaking out, I want the SW so bad it hurts!!!! Cant wait...
