Anybody with Hydor Flo

Post by R33f3r on Sun Apr 19, 2009 10:02 am

Hey all,

I just wanted to know if anybody else with one of those Hydor Flo's is having the same problem as me. Its happened today for the third time that it has come off the return port. Does anybody use glue or anything to make sure it stays? Any advice would be great.

Try a little plumbers tape around the return

Hey Bill make sure the housing doesn't have a crack...this can prevent it from staying locked on....good thing about Hydor is they are easy to deal with if it's still under warranty...Give me a call if you still want to come down today

LOL I assume that means it's cracked....crazy glue (ethyl cyanoacrelate) is fine for use in the aquarium...LOL!

I don't see a crack. The Hydor Flo attchment fits inside the return port and its just not snug, so I just wanted to make sure it doesn't come off again. And can I use it underwater or do I have do empty the water so its dry for glueing?

Are there some more suitable attachments? I know they come with different adaptors...you shouldn't have to glue the flo onto the outlet...I meant if there was a crack on the unit itself it would prevent snugging up.

I'll have to take a good look when I do my next water change (Friday). If all else fails I'll just use some underwater glue or try the super glue. Thanks for all the help.
