finally found a mantis shrimp

do you think i should get him? its a male Gonodactylus Chiragra 3inches long and will be going into a 15 gallon aquarium. the people want 50$ for him.

i don't know too much about them but some can break glass and they all will eat your fish and your fingers.. but i heard some who have them love there personality....

ive been wanting to get one for a while now, ive done alot of research i think im going to get him, hes not the species i wanted but they say he is still fairly active

yeah you can not have him in your tank with any other anything in it pretty much. he will eat whatever he can get a hold of. the place where i get my fish supplies from have about 10 of these guys there cool to have in the tank but any living fish up to about 8 inches will prob. get eaten

A friend of mine had one for the longest time and kept it in an acrylic tank
for fear of it breaking a glass tank. He actually used an old acrylic Nevada lottery ticket counter display that he modded with bulkheads and layed it on its back...lol
I think the mantis is cool and have tossed around the idea of getting one as well, I was given a spare nevada case by my buddy for just this purpose.
