Just check the basics in my tank: SG, ph, carbonate hardness, calcium, magnesium, nitrates.
Don't often dose anything in my 90g other than magnesium as I am using a calcium reactor.
For my BioCube29 I regularly dose EVS B-Ionic 2 part, and magnesium as required.
Have experimented in the past with iodine, strontium, etc, but at present I have decided to use regular water changes to top off these and the trace elements.

Is nobody else testing or dosing here? Come on folks, don't be shy! If we don't share we risk not not making our respective reefs the best they can be.

Not dosing. New tank with very little in it yet. I do believe that frequent water changes will be the way I keep up when the time comes.

I don't dose, never have. If you are be sure you can and are testing for it. Most of the trace elements, iodine etc are in the salt mix and get replaced with water changes. The only thing I may dose would be calcium if needed.

Re: what are you dosing

I have been researching for a few years in setting up my tank. My research points to adding the following:
SeaChem Supplements

Reef Plus - Has a full spectrum supplement of trace components and beneficial amino acids. It may be used as a food supplement.

Reef Complete - Designed to restore and maintain calcium to levels found in natural seawater without affecting pH

Reef Calcium - Intended to maintain calcium in the reef aquarium without altering pH

Reef Advantage Calcium - Designed to restore and maintain calcium levels found in natural seawater. Calcium and carbonates are essential to all coral growth. (Powdered form of Reef Calcium)

Reef Builder - Raises carbonate alkalinity without immediately impacting on pH. With long term use, it maintains pH at 8.3

Qty Description
2 1/2 Tablespoon Reef Plus twice a week
2 1/2 Tablespoon Reef Complete twice a week
2 1/2 Tablespoon Reef Calcium twice a week
1 Tablespoon Reef Advantage Calcium added to each gallon of makeup water during the 2nd and 4th weeks of the month.
1 Tablespoon Reef Builder added to each gallon of makeup water during the 3rd week of each month.

Not that I am a SeaChem representative but this is what is available at my LFS.

Cheers

After doing some reading I've recently (for about a month) started carbon dosing with vodka. One of the main reasons I started this was due to an ongoing macro algae problem that has gotten out of control. I'm in the process of cooking 50% of my rock and decided to try carbon dosing as a means of locking up phosphate and controling nitrates while my liverock level is low. Also monitoring for any other perceived benefits.
At present algae seems to be abating slightly and nitrates remain undetectable. I'll give an update in 3 months or so (or immediately if something really negative happens).

Re: what are you dosing

I recently informed a fellow reefer friend of mine on another site that I also started dosing Vodka last week for my Internal tank (stomach) due to the fact that I've had to endure two surgeries in the last week and was trying to reduce the pain that had accumulated in my system (body)...lol
He must have quickly scanned the post since I ended up with a lecture on the does and dont's of what I should dose the tank with when it comes to vodka.
I'm looking forward to hearing about your results. A highly respected US reefer that I'm constantly in contact with is doing the exact same thing as you are for the same reasons with excellent results. Good Luck.
